Mike Doyle Surf School

About Mike: Mike's surfing career took off when he was voted "Best Surfer" by Surfer magazine in 1965 and 1966. Mike earned the nickname"Ironman" for his participation in surfing, tandem and paddle races all in the same day and usually winning at least two of three competitions.

In 1968 Mike won the coveted Duke Kahanamoku Contest at Sunset Beach, Hawaii and the world surfing title in Peru. He holds the honor of inventing the first snowboard (he still snowboards 90 days a year) and the soft surfboard. Mike also had his own pro model surfboard the popular "Doyle Model" created in his honor by Robert August.

When he is not traveling the world, Mike lives every surfers dream by splitting his time between San Diego and Cabo San Lucas where he surfs and paints scenes of the ocean and the flavor of Baja.

Corporate/Team Building

Mike Doyle Surf School offers corporate surfing instruction with focus on: Fun, Fitness, Team Work, Morale Building and Surf Parties! We teach private lessons as well as large groups up to 10 people at a time. For each lesson we provide ground instruction, water instruction and surfboards. Private lessons are 1 hour and group lessons can reach 2 hours for each group. Catering from our 7 Seas restaurant can be arranged for corporate events linked to our surf school.

Our Corporate Surf Class includes ocean awareness, surf etiquette, paddling technique and wave riding. Enthusiastic and qualified instructors coach these features into a format that is fun and stress relieving as well as informative and professional.

The mutual experience of learning to surf creates a strong relationship among first-time participants. In a way, everyone is in the same boat. It acts as an equalizer that builds a strong corporate team.

We have a sand beach with a surf spot, surf shop, restaurant-bar and a boutique resort available for the ultimate corporate surf event!

Pricing is $65 per person on private lessons or groups. Private lessons (1 student per lesson) are 1 hour each. Groups get one instructor for 4 people at a time, this way we guarantee the best attention possible. Group lessons may expand up to 2 hours if students have the stamina.

Cerritos Wave Shuttle:
$45.00/person (board rental not included)
Shuttle departs the Cabo Surf Hotel at 6:45am for Cerritos... minimum of 3 persons per shuttle trip for the Wave Shuttle to run.

1 liter bottle of water per person is included in the price. We can also prepare you an energizing box lunch for an additional $10 (US) at our 7 Seas Restaurant.
